Welcome to Military Models. We are currently a two person operation and our goal is to enhance the profile of military modelling within New Zealand as well as to contribute what we can to the modelling community as a greater whole. Our central focus ( at least for the time being ) is 1/35 scale Second World War military, though we also look to cover interwar armour wherever possible.
Everything on this site is provided to be used freely by any person for any non-commercial purpose. Our intention is principally the dissemination of information, through news releases, through guides to techniques, tips, build logs, anything and everything that will help in making this hobby more fun for those who call it their own.
Images on this site may be used for personal, non-commercial use without specific permission, if the image originated from here we just ask for recognition, particularly for gallery images. Manufacturers news release images are the property of the manufacturer, not us ( hence we do not watermark manufacturers images with our own name ), and these images are provided by the manufacturers to promote their products so you do not need our permission to use them elsewhere. The site is designed to work on Google Chrome and I a aware that there are a few alignment issues with images on Explorer and to alesser degree on Firefox but as they say “you can’t please everyone”.
My personal areas of interest are early war armour, half-tracked vehicles, wheeled softskins and figures ( I love the Sd.Kfz.250 series of half-tracks and the StuG.III Ausf G ).
As of the start of 2012 we’ve begun to add information on 1/32 scale WWII aircraft as I’ve developed a personal interest in these, especially the big ones.
We’re a small community and I look forward to getting to know some of you.
