Reality In Scale 35139 – City Street Lamps
Reality in Scale is a niche manufacturer ( see HERE ) who makes a wide range of diorama accessories including this pair of resin street lamps which look as if they would be at home on pretty much any city street in wartime europe.
These each measure 140mm tall when complete and come in a small, solid clear case that ensures they arrive intact. You get a total of four resin parts, two for each lamppost, as well as ten laser cut cardboard pieces ( five for each ), two sheets of clear plastic sheet with four perforated “glass” panes on each, and two clear plastic parts to represent the light bulbs. You also get a small printed sheet of instructions.
The mould quality is faultless with the tops of the lamps being particularly impressive. No clean-up is required other than anything resulting from the cutting free of the cardboard and clear sheet plastic parts. Assembly is very simple and straight forward and the finished result is very impressive.
Once together and painted up these will add some real life to any city oriented diorama. They’re the sort of thing that probably wouldn’t be noticed if they were missing, and if done well shouldn’t really be the key focus of a diorama, but the added effect that they bring can give a diorama just that little bit more of a lift in the whole overall appearance.
These are beautifully done pieces and if you’re looking for something along these lines then these two won’t disappoint. Highly recommended, I like these a lot.
