M2A1 105mm Howitzer Walkaround

These were taken of the gun outside the RSA Memorial Hall in Paeroa, so as such keep in mind that anything that can be stolen or easily broken has already been removed or welded into place. I also don’t know the history of the gun and as we used these well past WWII it may have features of a post war gun.

These images have been resized for the site, if you’re after bigger, higher res photos drop me a line. Also I pass through Paeroa regularly so if you need better shots of a particular area let me know and I will see what I can do.

That’s a WWII version. I wonder if they have a 70′s version with the sights and modern tires?I was a field artilleryman and and section chief in the Marines on this model 105mm from 1975- 1978. GREAT gun, easy to operate and maintain!
