Tomorrow Dawns Anew

Tomorrow school starts. For those who need a little background filler I recently relocated my family from Henderson in Auckland to Te Aroha in the Waikato. Good-bye traffic lights and mad traffic, hello the smell of cow poo in the morning. And I’m loving it, should have done it years ago.

One small downside though, I’ve had a wee hiatus on making models and doing reviews, partly because of the move and settling back in, partly because it is school holidays and I’ve had children demanding my time. But school starts tomorrow and I’m looking forward to setting out the mancave and getting back into the smell of glue and paint, and the piles of plastic shavings that accumulate in a semi-circle around the building spot.

So look to see a few build logs finished, a few new ones begun, and the start of many new reviews that are long overdue.

Coming Soon From Preiser – U.S. D-Day Figure Sets

All I know of Preiser is that they do quite a neat range of 1/35 scale civilian figures and that they are damn hard to find somewhere to buy them from. These two sets are due out next month and on the surface of it look like interesting sets though having never seen their stuff in the flesh I couldn’t comment on the quality.
