This year’s Tamiya Fair will be helf on weekend of 20/21 November with Tamiya showcasing all they have that is new. Unfortunately when it comes to 1/35 scale military that means not a lot. There should be the Pz.Kpfw.35(t) which is a CMK kit reboxed under the Tamiya name ( no idea on if they have tweaked the moulds or if it’s just the same kit in a new box ), plus two more rereleases with “new” figures added, this time the M8 Howitzer Motor Carriage and the M5A1 Stuart.
U.S. LIGHT TANK M5A1 “PURSUIT OPERATION” SET (w/4 FIGURES)

U.S. HOWITZER MOTOR CARRIAGE M8 “AWAITING ORDERS” SET (w/3 FIGURES)

GERMAN PANZERKAMPFWAGEN 35(t)

Why release the same bad M5 and M8 when AFV club do such better ones?
Buggered if I know, but Tamiya started about August with a programme of rereleasing their old OOP kits again. In some cases ( M3 halftrack, Tiger I Initial ) they’re completely unchanged and still at good prices for those who aren’t fussed about accuracy, but on others ( russian armour mainly ) they come with an additional set of newer figures and a contemporary price to match which makes them a bit over priced for what they are in my opinion.
