Reality in Scale is the first producer to use the laser cut process to produce miniature roads & sidewalks in scale 1/35 – 54mm. The main advantage of using laser cut cardboard for miniature roads & sidewalks is that cardboard is flexible and very easy to cut so it enables you to easily shape the road to your specific requirements without the messy sawing & sanding that isrequired with resin or plaster. Also the level of detail in cardboard roads is very high as the specific type of cardboard we use has a very nice, rough structure which helps considerably to give the roads & sidewalks a very natural and detailed look. Finally, the laser cutting process enables us to create fantastic details. To give you an idea, an A4 size road sits in the laser cutting machine for no less then 47 minutes! It takes that long to engrave all that fine and beautiful details! The low weight of the laser cut streets are also a big benefit as they keep the weight of your diorama ánd the shipping costs low!
