Recently Italeri have been giving their old kits a makeover and rereleasing them, usually with little additions. This one ( kit number 6487 ) is their Tiger I Hybrid and comes with a small ammount of photoetch and redone moulds. Some of the repops I’ve seen from Italeri of late seem to have a better quality of plastic used and with their current relationship with Tamiya it does make me wonder if they are using the same type of plastic now, which would be a good thing if it were the case as Tamiya’s plastic has always been better than the old Italeri stuff. Of course that’s all speculation and what exactly has been improved won’t be known till it’s on the shelves.
