This book is not so much a history of the 2cm German FlaK guns as it is a collection of black and white period photos of them. There is a brief history covered at the beginning but it would more accurate to call it a summary, or an overview, than any form of in depth history.
The first five pages deal with this brief history and there then follows thirty two pages of black and white photos, with two photos per page, of period photos. The majority of these concentrate on the four barreled Flakvierling 38 with a few also dealing with the single barreled FlaK 30 and 38 and just a few on the MG 151/20. These cover standalone guns as well as various vehicle mounted versions. The quality of the photos are all very good so they do make good reference sources.
The book then concludes with a brief outline of FlaK ferries together with seven photos, and a look at 20mm guns in naval service, being another four pages with eight pictures, primarily of the Oerlikon and Flakvierling C38. The last page, plus the inside rear cover are a brief description of, and three photos of, the Mobelwagen and Wirbelwind, also mounting the Flakvierling 38.
From an historical research point of view this book offers little in the way of history, and nothing more than can be found on something like Wikipedia. It does offer a lot of good reference photos, though primarily of the Flakvierling 38. So if you want something more in depth, or something with more information on the lesser known 2cm guns then there are probably better sources, but it is a handy reference for the 2cm Flakvierling 38.
