Miniart has certainly taken up the cause of the Red Army modeller and this set gives you some very nice figures indeed. The animation of the figures in this set isn’t as exciting as some of their other sets with the ubiquitous pointing figure but the poses are very well done and the detail is very good.
Coming on two small grey plastic sprues there is minimal cleanup with just the usual light mould seams to deal with. Assembly is easy and straight forward, again as with all figures with separately moulded legs there is a degree of filling and cleanup involved around the joins between the legs and waist once assembled to totally eliminate the join lines.
The set depicts five officers conferring, one is dressed in tanker overalls, a second wears a tanker jacket over field trousers and holds a tanker helmet, the other three wear various officers field uniforms with one also wearing a tankers helmet. The faces on all of them are extremely well done and this is becoming a trademark of Miniart. There is also wonderful detail in the likes of the belt buckles and holsters as well as a very nice touch with the adding of chest medals on the three figures in field uniforms.
All five have a holstered sidearm while three also have slung mapcases. No other weapons or equipment is included.
Overall a very nice set that would make for a good scene showing two or more tanks and a staff car gathered aroud while everyone sorts out where they are going.
