Miniart is a Ukranian company that doesn’t have a high level of recognition in New Zealand, but those who have worked with their kits know them to be amongst the better ones available.
This set is one of their newer ones and contains five figures. One is dressed as a russian tanker, the other four as russian infantrymen posed so as to be able to be used riding on the back of tanks like the T-34 ( they work equally well for other situations where a relaxed, seated pose is sought ).
The four infantrymen are dressed in the pre 1943 uniform. All have personal gear such as ammo pouches, entrenching tool, waterbottle and small haversack. Weapons are two Ppsh 41 SMGs and two Mosin-Nagant M1891/30 rifles.
The mouldings are good with minimal cleanup while the fit requires a little filler in places but nothing major. The faces and hands in particular are very well sculpted and show the level of detail usually found in resin figures. Assembly is straight forward ( we all know where arms, legs and heads go anyway ).
These make up into a very nice set of figures and are highly recommended to anyone looking for russian WWII figures in relaxed, seated poses.
